Dear Jan, Bobby & Sue, Bill & Rebecca, and all the family,
We are so, so sorry for your loss of your beloved Aunt Rosie. She was such a special lady who was always smiling. The warmth of her heart made everyone comfortable in her company. We know that she will be missed until we meet again. Don't you know there was a grand reunion in heaven when she arrived! We were not able to attend her home-going celebration as we are out of town. Praying for all of the family of "Auntie Rosie." She was always thoughtful in asking how my family was doing and how I was doing. She wanted to make sure Jan and I were taking care of each other in our recent losses and injuries to my family. I would visit with her when I could and she would always smile and even laugh at some of the things we talked about. Even in her last days, she was asking how others were doing and said she was praying for them. She enjoyed watching me play with her beloved dog, Annie. Annie would greet us at the door and want to play ball. Auntie would throw the ball, and she would just laugh and giggle at Annie when she would bring it back and nudge her to throw it again.
Rest In Peace. We will take it from here.

I met Mrs. West at the annual class reunions she organized at the Catfish Cabin in Monroe, while attending with my mother Margaret Oxner Crowell. She was a sweet lady, but you could tell she had a brassy side. Mom died in February 2018. May God give you peace in your loss.
