Obituary of Jerry Lane Lee

Funeral services for Jerry Lane Lee age 76 of Olla will be held 1:00 PM Friday January 24, 2020 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Dickerson officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Urania Cemetery at Urania. Visitation will be on Thursday evening at the funeral home in Columbia located at 7131 U S Highway 165 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Jerry Lane Lee was born on April 7, 1943 in California to his parents , Charles Sidney Lee and Jeanie Baum Lee, and he passed from this life on January 21, 2020 at his residence in Olla surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Lee had served his communtity as a former Mayor of Georgetown, and served his country in the United States Army. He was a Certified Public Accountant, Entrepreneur having owned a building supply and lumber company. He was also a Union Steward in local 492 dealing with official business on behalf of its members. He attended the Pleasant Grove Church of God at Grayson as his health would permit. Left to cherish a lifetime of memories is his wife of fifty five years, Peggy Stamper Lee of Olla; two daughters: Janie Carr (Jimmy) Georgetown, LA and Elaine Bunn (Edward) of Ball, LA; two sons: Jeremy Lee and Jason Lee (Jayme) all of Georgetown; eleven grandchildren: Jamie Kelly, Caleb Bunn, Keri Ann Mayfield, Mackenzie Bunn, Cody Lee, Jase Mayfield, Grayson Lee, Ryan Lee, Maddie Bunn, Lauren Lee and Seth Lee and one great grand son: Anthony Lane Lee. Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Bunn, Jimmy Carr, Jason Lee, Jeremy Lee, Jase Mayfield, Grayson Lee, Chuck Nugent, C.J. Nugent, Nathan Stamper and Gaylen Maltempi.
