Obituary of Hylton L. Lee

Funeral services for H. L. Lee age 98 of Columbia will be held 10:00 AM Friday October 9, 2020 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Brother Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Cemetery at Grayson. The Lee Family will receive visitors on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM. H.L. was born on October 6, 1922 in Winn Parish, Louisiana to the union of his parents Hilton Horrie Lee and Elizabeth Rolen Lee, and he passed from this life suddenly on Wednesday October 7, 2020 at his residence . He was preceded in death by his parents and by his beloved wife Georgia McClary Lee, his grandson: Cory Lance Laird and his siblings: L. C. Lee, John Henry Lee, Robert J. “Bob” Lee, Marie Lee, Janie Marteal Lewellyan, Mable Manley, Clara Lale and Voncille Marrs. Mr. Lee was a Veteran of World War II having served in the United States Marine Corp. He was also a retired farmer and cattleman. Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his children: Melba Lee Laird (AL), Glenn Lee (Mary) and Sharon Lee Shafer; seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law; Alfred Marrs and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Clint Cubbitt, Luke Cubbitt, Tanner Cubbitt, Leevi Roberts, Parker Roberts, Colby Laird, Justin Lee and James Lovett. Online registry/condolences: riserfuneralhomes.com
