I'll always remember the first time I met Mrs. Evelyn McKeithen. It was a hot summer day when Japheth brought me over to meet her for the first time. She offered me a kind smile and a cool glass of coke. Before that, Japheth and I had gone to a dance and taken a picture, which we gave to his mother. When Grandmother saw the picture, I'm told she said, "Oh, goody! Another wedding!"
Grandmother was a great lady and we'll miss her dearly.
