Obituary of Kay Ellender

Kay Godfrey Ellender passed from this life on March 27, 2012 . A celebration of life will be held Saturday April 7, 2012 at 293 Synope Drive, Synope Plantation, Columbia, LA. From 3 to 5PM. Kay was born in Columbia, Louisiana on February 13, 1943, the daughter of Cicero R. Godfrey and Edith Stotts Godfrey. Kay was preceded in death by her father. A graduate of Louisiana State University, with Master Degrees from Louisiana Tech, Mrs. Ellender spent her professional career teaching in the English departments of ULM and Louisiana Tech. She is survived by her mother, Edith Godfrey LeVasseur of Monroe; her son, Willard Ellender, III; and wife Sandy of Naples, Florida; her sister, Ann Erskine and husband David of Monroe; and one grandchild Alexandra Ellender.
